Well, we got home from our trip to Florida on Sunday night. We had a lot of fun, but we are very glad to be home. We had a busy week. We visited friends in Jax, visited Shawn's family in central Florida, went to Sea World with our friends the Ramsey's and went to our friends wedding. We had a lot of fun seeing old friends. The girls had a blast at Sea World with Rebekah. Ashlyn and Emmie had fun playing with Devon at Nanny and Papa's. We got our fill of the Florida sun and are glad to be back in cooler North Carolina. Although I told Shawn if I could live on the coast of Florida rather than the mountains, I would choose the coast. Anyway, enjoy the pics. |

Ashlyn is officially a Kindergarten graduate. We had a little party last night to celebrate. We had some family over so she could show off some of the things she's learned in the last year. She read a book, recited the books of the Old Testament, recited a memory verse and played a couple of songs on the piano. She did very good. We are so proud of her. She worked hard this year and learned a lot. She's looking forward to 1st grade, but most of all to having a couple months off and so is Mommy! We should also mention Emmie. She's been trying to learn a little bit this past year, but we are most proud of her for being patient while Mommy's been teaching Ashlyn. She's been such a good girl. And we can't forget Kyla. She mostly took her morning nap while mommy was teaching Ashlyn. But she's definitely learned a lot in the past year! Lately she has learned to climb up the stairs. So we've had to start putting up the gate. She also likes to open cabinets and climb in them. She waves hello, goodbye and blows kisses (it's so cute). She finally has a tooth. Anyway, that's a little update with the girls. We are looking forward to seeing some of you all in a couple of weeks. |
